My next BIG custom project....

1/64 Scratch Built Class Jaguar 900

I finally finished a custom project I have been working on for a very long time. A all styrene 1/64th scale Claas Forage chopper. This model took a long time to build and piece everything together. It is truly from scratch as I cut and fabricated every piece except the wheels, hay head and spout. I have 2 of the machines listed on eBay right now. I'm not exactly sure what to charge, so I will see what the auction for the first one brings. Here are some pictures of my project, and links to the auctions if you are interested. The most interesting thing about this project is that the hay head magnetically attaches to the tractor, so there are no little plastic clips.

New eBay Auctions Ending Today!

I have put a few new things up on eBay in the last week, and the auctions are ending today. I think there are some good values, including the Case IH and John Deere sets.

New Model Release - John Deere Authentics #4 - 4450 Set

I haven't covered a new model release in a while because.... well mostly because I haven't been very good about keeping up my blog. This release, however I thought was post-worthy and I am happy to say Ertl is producing another authentic tractor. As detailed in the 2013 Ertl Catalog, the John Deere 4450 set will feature 2 classic "soundgards", the 4450 and the ..... 4450. There are two types of farmers, those that have FWA, and those that don't. Well Ertl has you covered here with the 4450 twins. My biggest hpe on these models is that the fenders on the FWA model are highly detailed, and that some portion of that cab glass opens. The 1/64 soundgard castings are already pretty nice, so it will be interesting to see how Ertl, I mean Tony Toys improves. Heres to hoping for detail!

eBay Auctions Ending

I have several eBay auctions ending tonight,  so check out what's listed! Here are a few quick pictures of what I have listed!

Case IH Evolution Set. This was a set given to dealers at their annual meeting. It is pretty difficult to find and the detail is excellent. Typically sets that say "dealer" somewhere on them cost more.

CAT Lexion 485 Combine. This was made by Norscott in the late 90's and has become very difficult to find. They haven't made a 1/64th scale CAT combine since. This model has great detail.

 John Deere s680 Chrome Chase edition from the 2012 Fall Farm Show. The regular combine from the fall farm show only had 5000 units made, and out of those 500 were these chrome chase models. Anytime you have a production number under 1000 it means it will usually go up in value/

Apple iPhone 4. No, its not a tractor, but it is a great smartphone with many features including Apple's wonderful Retina display and it was made to operate on Verizon's network which is one of the largest cellular networks. This one has a screen in great condition and was well taken care of. Please see the listing detail for more information.

eBay Auctions Ending

Check out my eBay auctions that are ending in about 4 1/2 hours from now. There are several rare items including a Big Bud 747, many Farm Show and dealer editions, and 1/32 scale items.

While walking around the Farm Science review a few weeks ago I found a nice Buhler Versatile that reminded me of the old Ford Versatiles from a few years ago. This was a very nice 4wd. I don't have much information, but here are a few pictures.

2011 New Holland Farm Show Edition T9.615 4WD

This years farm show edition from New Holland is the T9.615. This is a nice model based on the newest 4WD release from Ertl. This tractor features large newly designed front and rear duals. 

 Cab top inscription. Nice detail on the GPS beacon.

2011 Case IH Farm Show Edition 315

This years Case IH Farm Show Edition is the 315 tractor with FWA and front and rear duals. This tractor has been produced in toy form several times and features excellent detail. In my opinion these are the best front duals that were ever offered on a model. There are also rear wheel weights. Imprinted on the top of the cab is a silver imprint that says 2011 Farm Show Edition. I do have a few extras of these tractors, so if you need one please visit my eBay page.

Orange County Chopper at the 2011 Farm Science Review?

When I went to he Farm Science review this year I expected to see combines, planters, balers and forage harvesters but I didn't expect to see a motorcycle from everybody's favorite motorcycle based reality show. Apparently Beck's Hybrids commissioned OCC to build 2 custom motorcycles. The first one pictured is a traditional chopper that is adorned in a Ohio State paint scheme (yuck) and has some beck's hybrid labels painted on. There were red led lights on the underside which seems to be a recent trend with OCC. The second "motorcycle" utilizes the same paint scheme however is a reverse trike design that has a similar front end of a 4-wheeler (quad). The most interesting part of the reverse trike is the pseudo corn head out front which you don't really expect to see on a motorcycle, but since it was created for a seed company it is quite interesting. One of these motorcycles is being auctioned off for charity (I believe the traditional one).

 Seems to follow a traditional OCC design. Looks fun.

 Here is the reverse trike that does look similar to a can am motorcycle. The rear tire looks to be a Z rated automotive tire.

 From this angle this looks like a very unique quad more than a motorcycle.

 Close up of the combine head inspired front end. Also makes a terrific cattle catcher.
